Common Questions
Yes, you can if you meet the eligibility criteria for government subsidy. We offer a range of hospitality and commercial cookery courses subsidised by the Queensland Government.
You are required to pay a co-contribution fee for each course you study with us. We generally charge $1 per unit. Meaning a qualification with 15 units will cost you $15 in total. There may be further concessions available if you are receiving centrelink benefits.
As the name suggests, workplace-based assessments are conducted in your place of work.
Our assessors observe you performing various tasks while you are on your shift. It is a method used for highly experienced people in their trade who do not require any study to attain practical skills.
We use a range of methods and documentation to determine your level of skills.
RPL is a process of recognising your experience and current skills to establish if you can perform all tasks and have the knowledge expected from a fully qualified person for a qualification.
You can prove it by demonstrating your skills in your workplace and going through an interview with a qualified assessor who makes a judgment on your performance.
If our assessor is satisfied and you meet all other criteria, you may be awarded a certificate without studying the course.
Please refer to our course page and inquire about the course you are interested in. We will send you all the information via email or over the phone.
